In the Spirit of Giving, Action Team Captains Lend a Helping Hand

With the Thanksgiving holiday around the corner, several Action Team Captains took advantage of this great opportunity to help some of their neighbors in need.

Action Team Captains from Watchung Hills Regional High School in New Jersey recently organized a 12-day Thanksgiving food drive at their high school, by collecting canned goods and delivering them to the Somerset County Food Bank.

Shred Event Cropped

On a completely different note, Action Team Captains from Bishop Ireton, HB Woodlawn, and St. Stephen’s & St. Agnes high schools, located in the Virginia and Washington DC area, teamed up to fight homelessness by shredding paper. Each box of paper cost $5 to be shredded, and the proceeds benefited initiatives to fight homelessness in their communities. Funds collected will help provide shelter residents with transportation services (Smart Trip Cards) and also help to purchase socks, hats, gloves, undergarments, and toiletries for those in need.
